CHOPPER GUN (Spray-Up System)

1. Operate the Chopper Gun only if you have been trained and authorized to do so. Wear your respirator and PPE.

2. Prevent static sparking to avoid explosion and fire by taking the following steps:

a. Make sure the unit and each of its components are properly grounded.
b. Always use an airless hose that incorporates a grounding wire or conductive tube.
c. Always use a grounded 3-wire supply circuit for electrically powered units and See to it that that the power supply receptacle is grounded.
3. NEVER USE A HALOGENATED HYDROCARBON (Trichloroethane, Trichloroethylene, Perchloroethylene) IN THIS MACHINE: it could cause an explosion.
4. Never spray solvent under pressure through the gun. Doing so could generate a charge of static electricity which, in the presence of flammable vapors, could cause an explosion or fire. Always remove nozzle tip when flushing solvent through the gun.
5. Never exceed the maximum air pressure. Severe injury could result.
6. The system is capable of producing up to 3000 PSI of hydraulic pressure. NEVER POINT THE GUN AT YOURSELF OR ANYONE ELSE. Keep fingers and hands clear of the nozzle when gun is pressurized.
7. Never leave pressurized unit unattended. Always release pressure before leavin
8. Relieve all pressure from the system before attempting repair or maintenance.
9. Never operate cutter with cover or guard removed. The blades may fly free if improperly installed, causing severe injury.
10. Practice clean habits around the spray-up area. Overspray materials represent a fire hazard. Do not allow them to accumulate.
11. Check the hose periodically for and kinks or abrasions that may develop into ruptures.
12. Never attempt to remove the nozzle, gun or hose without first shutting off the pump and releasing the fluid pressure.
13. If skin is hit by sprayed liquid, paint or solvent, contact First Aid immediately.
